Public transportation systems across the U.S. may be hemorrhaging funds, service and jobs, but in spite of the massive, “black hole in Dubai’s finances” they seem to be turning out some amusing advertisements for the expanding Dubai Metro. In fact as Atlanta is just days away from dropping 2 million rides a year, “leaving the 50% or more of C-Tran riders with no regular access to a car stranded,” the Dubai Metro is doubling the number of trains and adding service. So much for American exceptionalism.
This ad plays off the spate of abandoned cars in Dubai resulting from the financial crisis, attributing them to what else, the expanding Dubai Metro.
